IT Network Engineer - SEM59639

We are currently looking on behalf of one of our important clients for an IT Network Engineer. This role is a permanent position based in Basel Canton.Your Role:Collaborate in the operation & further development of the network core fabric & network access (routing, switching) based on Extreme Networks & Cisco.Carry out conceptual work, design & architecture in the area of LAN.Implement & hold responsibility for the lifecycle of the switching infrastructure, in which an old Cisco-based LAN infrastructure is replaced by a new LAN infrastructure based on Extreme Networks.Develop automation to simplify the network operation & network services.Participate in the 2nd level service, including monitoring, request fulfillment & incident & problem management.Collaborate with external service providers.Your Skills:At least 3 years of relevant professional experience as a Network Engineer.Strong technical knowledge & troubleshooting skills.Experienced in Network protocols & standards & routing & switching.Skilled in managing LAN network infrastructure in large environments.Ideally experienced in Extreme Networks Switches (VSP, Exos, Fabric Connect).Any experience in Management Systems (XMC/XIQ) is considered a plus.Preferably knowledgeable in NAC.Your Profile:Completed University Degree or training in the field of Computer Science or similar.Structured & solution-oriented.Fluent in English (spoken & written), any German language skills are considered highly advantageous. #J-18808-Ljbffr
