Tandia Financial Credit Union (Tandia) is seeking an Advisor to join our virtual team in our Burlington Corporate Office. The work hours will be full-time which is 35.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Minimum compensation for this role starts at $57,411.00 annually and increases based on skill and experience.

Your Work at a Glance

In this role, you will be a vital part of our team, the Member Solutions Advisor is the primary resource for actively soliciting new sales opportunities (loans, mortgages, lines of credit) and by following up on referrals and identifying target areas; subsequent cold calls to capitalize on growth opportunities and meet sales goals. The Advisor is an integral part of growing our business and increasing our membership.

With your knowledge you will also be able to effectively up-sell and cross-sell Tandia’s on-book investment options (GICs/Term Deposits). For more comprehensive financial planning needs, you’ll be able to spot the opportunity and refer the member to our Wealth Management team

We are looking for someone who

• Has proven ability in member service and selling
• Has previous credit underwriting experience and a background in lending
• Has an in-depth knowledge of investments (GICs/Term Deposits), including Registered plans
• Is skilled at financial analysis and mathematical calculations such as ratios, amortization schedules and more
• Understands the Credit Union philosophies and principles
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills
• Is a team player, always willing to jump in and help other team members
• Pays attention to the details, no matter how big or small
• Is proactive, going the extra mile to support our members
