In 1937, he established the brand in Paris, designing its collections there until 1968. The ultra-modern shapes were trademarks of the house.While the brand’s identity is firmly rooted in its highly conceptual prêt-à-porter collections, its leather goods, footwear, and accessories experience worldwide success as well. Among the archetypal products of the House are its handbag collections. A new focus on the development of Balenciaga ready-to-wear collections for men was quickly established as highly successful.Since October 2015, Demna has designed both men’s and women’s collections as the artistic director.The Balenciaga House, part of the Kering group since 2001, is one of the most influential names in fashion.We are currently looking a Shoes Collection Merchandiser who will report to the Shoes Collection Merchandising Manager.Job DescriptionBALENCIAGA – Collection Merchandiser Shoes (F/H) Your opportunity We are looking for a Shoes Collection Merchandiser to contribute to build and develop Balenciaga Shoes Collection. Your contribution Analyse internal and external information (both qualitative and quantitative) to inform development opportunities and product enhancements, and pricing architecture.Produce competitive benchmark studies and focused deep dives on strategic category developments (with support of Intern/Junior).Build collection brief and follow-up.Act as the interface between key departments: Retail Merchandising, Wholesale, Coordination & Development.Manage pricing and product costing processes, including optimization opportunities, competitor mappings, and strategic price positioning.Manage Catalogue: completeness and accuracy; manage edit.Consolidate normalization documents, updates to Retail/WHS teams, sell-in & sell-out data and extract relevant and concise take-aways.Implement and manage collection modelarios, and key tools for collection analysisManage and follow collection efficiency KPIs.You areA professional with minimum 5 years of relevant Merchandising experience.A technical specialist, with solid understanding of Shoes market and key players and a good knowledge of product functionalities and details.An individual with strong analytical abilities both quantitative and qualitative, able to manage various projects at different development stages.A person having strong interpersonal skills, able to work with transversal teams.A flexible and reactive professional.A person fluent in English and French, Italian is a bonus, with good IT literacy especially Excel & Powerpoint.Why work with us?This is a fabulous opportunity to join the Balenciaga adventure andto actively contribute to the development of new exciting projects bybecoming part of a thriving Studio.Balenciaga is committed to thriving your professional development within the House or in the Kering group.
