There are two fantastic opportunities within the Science department of a leading West Midlands college: one for a qualified lecturer and another for a recent chemistry graduate or industry experienced candidate interested in starting a teaching career.      Please read further below for more details on each role Trainee Lecturer in Chemistry  An exciting opportunity has arisen at a leading college in the West Midlands for a Trainee Lecturer in chemistry. This role is perfect for recent graduates or industry experienced candidates in physics or a related discipline who are passionate about teaching.    If successful, you will work towards delivering effective learning, teaching, and assessment that ensures a high-quality learner experience. Enthusiasm for physics and a drive to encourage student progress within Science or related disciplines are essential. Key Responsibilities: Work towards and deliver high-quality learning and teaching. Engage with curriculum teams to ensure learners acquire essential knowledge, skills, and behaviours. Support students in their progression to employment or higher-level studies. Requirements: A Level 4 qualification, degree, or HND in chemistry or a related specialism. Willingness to work towards a teaching qualification upon appointment. Benefits: 40 days annual leave, 8 Bank Holidays, and up to 10 Closure Days. Lecturer in Chemistry An enthusiastic and experienced individual, preferably a qualified teacher, is sought to join the vibrant Science department of a leading West Midlands college.    If successful, you will teach a range of subjects and courses, including L1, L2 and L3 Vocational Applied Science courses on Chemistry units. These will be part of the qualifications: Level 3 applied science & A Level chemistry. This is an opportunity to work with a dedicated team in bespoke labs, providing consistently excellent education that inspires learners and builds their confidence and curiosity. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality teaching in various Science courses. Inspire and support learners, fostering their development and readiness for life and employment. Collaborate with a team of experienced and dedicated staff. Requirements: A degree or relevant qualification at Level 4 or above. Possession of a teaching qualification. Assessor and Verifier awards (D32/D33) or willingness to work towards them. Experience in teaching within an FE or sixth-form environment.
