The Rear End Load driver is responsible for transporting waste and mixed materials while operating a rear end load truck.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate a commercial rear end loader vehicle along assigned routes to customers and disposal sites
Safely deliver, transport and/or unload container with materials at designated locations/dump site
Safely return container to original location
Operate electronic devices to log/report information
Communicate with dispatch personnel
Report delays due to road conditions, accidents, or breakdowns to management
Reporting all container related issues and needs to dispatch and management
Keep truck and associated equipment, clean, safe and in good working order
Perform truck inspections pre and post trip
Safely collect commercial waste/recyclable materials from designated locations
Safely operate all vehicle controls for lifting and loading
Safely operate compacters to dispose of material
Follow all applicable traffic laws and regulations
Ensure that all required personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn
Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Required education and experience
Valid Commercial Drivers license
Two years safe driving experience
Preferred education and experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Bilingual (Spanish or Creole)
Waste industry experience
Work environment and hours
Shifts may vary Monday-Saturday
40+ hours a week
