CNC Machinist

Major Recruitment are searching for a CNC Machinist for our client based in Gateshead. This vacancy is full-time and permanent for the right candidate. Duties include: Operate and program assigned machines, specifically Hass/ Puma/ Mazatrol, to manufacture parts according to the drawing specifications in the most efficient manner Turning Bias but milling experience also advantageous Be as adaptable as possible in operating any machinery within personal capability Meet internal quality standards and procedures related to part supply and follow and adhere to safe working procedures and practices Maintain housekeeping in relevant areas Adhere to and assist in implementing current and future working procedures and practices Perform any duties requested by the Team Leader within capabilitiesHours of work and pay rate: Monday to Thursday 07:30am till 17:15pm, 37 hours per week Earlier starts and finishes possible if needed £16.24 per hour, after 12 week probation an additional weekly allowance of £94.71 is paid Overtime available, x1.3 Monday to Friday, x1.5 Saturday and x2 SundaySuccessful candidates must: Have previous experience programming and operating CNC machines, in particular Puma 400 and 700 Have relevant Engineering/ Manufacturing qualifications Have a keen eye for detail Can read and interpret design drawingsPlease call (phone number removed) for an immediate interview.
