Mechanical technician (NVQ3 qualified)

Are you an experienced Fitter looking for a new opportunity? Our client, a leading manufacturing organisation located in Teal Park Road, Lincoln, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fitter to join their team on an initial 3-month contract. As a Fitter, you will work closely with the Manufacturing Manager and Team Leaders to ensure the efficient and accurate stripping of Small Gas Turbines and their sub-assembly components. You will use your expertise in tooling and measuring equipment, along with engineering drawings and layouts, to ensure that all components are salvaged or built and tested to the highest standard. Your keen attention to detail will be crucial in assessing the condition of components post-strip and identifying any repair work required. Package Details Pay: £17.67 per hour plus shift allowance (111.5% for earlies, 117% for lates). Overtime also available at higher rates (1.25% increase rate) Job Location: Teal Park Road Lincoln, LN6 3AD Shifts: 6am- 2.15pm and 2.15pm - 10.15pm rotating per week Monday to Friday Duration: 3 months initial contract Start Date: ASAP What you'll be responsible for: Stripping Small Gas Turbines to sub-assembly component levels Building and testing engine combustion and associated components Utilising tooling and measuring equipment to high tolerance levels Completing associated paperwork accurately, including recording code numbers Maintaining a clean and tidy working area Promoting a healthy and safe working environment Flexibility to work rotating Early and Late shift patterns Being proactive in suggesting process improvement ideasTo succeed in this role, you'll need: Previous experience as a Fitter Apprentice training or equivalent Mechanical NVQ Level 3 qualification Knowledge of dismantling and overhauling components is desirable A strong attention to detail Excellent safety and quality mindset Collaboration and teamwork skillOur client offers a competitive hourly rate of £17.67, along with shift allowances and overtime opportunities.
