Project Manager | New build and Refurb within a Private Estate Permanent Start ASAP Salary up to £80,000 + Travel Allowance + Private Medical + Package This well-established, prestigious, family run building contractor specialises in renovation, extension and refurbishments of period and bespoke one-off properties. They have a requirement for a Project Manager to take ownership of a phase of works on one of their most prestigious projects in the South East. The phase comprises 22no outbuildings - all at various stages of construction and varying sizes; 7 new builds and the rest are refurb - the buildings include: machine stores, new yard for estate staff, new garage (5 bays and an air con unit) new laundry building, new stable block, new outdoor kitchen, refurb of greenhouses, old stable buildings into staff accommodation, new security building (refurb of existing) and refurb of an old 15th century barn. You will be expected to drive the team consisting of two Quantity Surveyors, 3 Site Managers and an Assistant Site Manager - and will be reporting to the site-based Project Director. Duties: ·Directing and coordinating all project activities ·Setting, reviewing, and implementing project strategy. ·Utilizing Project Commander software for programming, reporting, and delay analysis. ·Overseeing people management, including team leadership, recruitment, and client expectations. ·Understanding JCT contracts, managing notifications, claims, and disputes. ·Proactively working with commercial team members, overseeing procurement processes, and ensuring accurate reporting. ·Proactively managing all aspects of SHE on-site, ensuring compliance with regulations. ·Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of compliance matters and utilizing company processes and systems Key Skills: ·Managed projects valued between £2M and £6M. ·Understanding and managing complex project information. ·Technical and construction knowledge, including contemporary and traditional construction methods, conservation, listed buildings, basements, and RC substructures. ·Competency in IT software packages, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Project, and PDF editing.
