You don’t shy away from making difficult decisions, leveraging your analytical and leadership skills to drive continuous improvement and ensure the success of your projects and team.  As a manager, system integrity, you'll lead and oversee the System Integrity team to develop, implement, and improve asset integrity management activities, ensuring alignment with our organization’s goals and industry regulatory standards. Reporting to director, transmission, this position focuses on creating and sustaining a culture of accountability and performance to increase organizational confidence of integrity management effectiveness.   So, if you're ready to roll up your sleeves and make a real impact, join us in transforming B.C.’s energy future.In this role, you will:Identify current areas of opportunity with our current asset integrity management activities and develop solutions for improvement.  Maintain fiscal responsibility by managing the System Integrity Operations and Maintenance budgets within the provided guidelines and targets. Take the lead on developing short- and long-term plans to align with corporate strategic objectives while acknowledging the changing energy environment for all the System Integrity programs. In addition, you will mentor team members to assess the short and long-term resources and ongoing technical capabilities of the department to meet requirements.Build and strengthen relationships with key internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, as you provide organizational strategic objectives and future direction in alignment with other business areas. What it takes:A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline from an accredited university, plus a minimum of eight to 12 years of recent and related experience within a regulated utility environment.Registered with or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with Engineers and Geoscientists BC.An equivalent combination of education, related training, and experience may be considered.A demonstrated ability to lead a culture change and manage teams through a forward-thinking approach. A strong business acumen with the ability to adapt business plans and risk tolerance into departmental goals and plansOur engaging workplace offers a wide range of challenging opportunities, while being safe, inclusive and diverse.
