Centre for Autism Services Alberta is growing! We are looking for a full-time Speech Language Pathologist Position for Edmonton.

This is a Full-time permanent position.

The Centre for Autism Services Alberta (CFASA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children, teens, and young adults with autism. Established in 1997, CFASA has grown to offer a wide range of services to autistic individuals and their families and is the only accredited autism service provider in Alberta. Our mission is to provide comprehensive and innovative supports and services to those affected by autism.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultation as part of a multidisciplinary team in the areas of communication and socialization to children with autism and their families.
  • Provide intervention and coaching in a person-centred and family-focused model.
  • Learn to deliver a variety of evidence based practices in a naturalistic, child led setting.
  • Build relationships with children and families to help them achieve goals that are meaningful to them.
  • Work within a neuroaffirming practice framework.
  • Promote and support inclusive programming across home and school.
  • Travel within Edmonton and Area is required (mileage is reimbursed).

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology and registered with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Effective organizational, decision-making, and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Current professional liability insurance
  • Clean Criminal Record Check (reimbursed by CFASA)
  • Clean Child Intervention Check (reimbursed by CFASA)
  • Valid certification in Child and Infant CPR and First Aid (reimbursed by CFASA)
