Our client within the Transportation/Logistics industry is looking for an HR Coordinator to join their team.

Location:

Brampton, ON

Temp to Perm

Hours of work: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Onboarding Coordination:
    Manage the full onboarding process for all new hires. Set up and coordinate all training and compliance requirements. Ensure new employees fully understand their job descriptions, expectations, and company policies.
  2. Payroll Assistance:
    Provide the payroll department with relevant employee information such as leaves of absence, sick days, and work schedules. Assist in the creation and management of HR and payroll reports. Address employee queries regarding HR and payroll-related issues.
  3. Personnel Record Management:
    Maintain and update personnel records meticulously. Update internal HR and payroll databases with accurate records of sick days, leaves, and other relevant employee information.
  4. Recruitment Support:
    Collect, check, and update supporting documents for candidate recruitment. Prepare, distribute, and explain the company's internal policies and procedures forms to employees.
  5. Work Schedule Management:
    Oversee and manage employee work schedules to ensure efficient workflow and compliance with labor laws.
  6. General HR Support:
    Participate in HR projects as needed. Assist with various administrative tasks as the HR position is currently not full-time, providing flexibility for additional duties.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, Human Resources, or a relevant field.
  • Experience: Proven work experience as an HR and Payroll Administrator, Assistant, or a similar role. Experience with HR software, such as HRIS or HRMS, is an asset.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
    • Strong knowledge of federal labor laws, as we operate under federal jurisdiction.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize important projects.
    • Exceptional communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
    • Strong phone, email, and in-person communication abilities.
