Out of School Care Supervisor(s)

Maria Montessori Academy is currently seeking a fun, responsible person to work in our elementary Before and After of School Care Program . The successful applicant has the ability to engage with children, plan, participate in and supervise activities, and maintain a clean and organized environment. Our before school care program runs from 7:30 - 8:30 and is a quiet, settled hour with students in Kindergarten through Grade 6. The supervisor will spend the hour facilitating and participating in quiet games. When students are picked up for class, it is the supervisor's responsibility to clean the tables and ensure all supplies etc were put away. Our after school care program runs from 3:00 - 5:00. The supervisor is expected to spend the time facilitating games & activities and ensuring safety of children. It is expected that supervisors will communicate with parents at pick up time and communicate with co-workers on an ongoing basis. Excellent verbal & written communication skills with both children and adults are essential. The ideal candidate: - is reliable, punctual, and organized - has experience working with this age group in a recreational setting - has exceptional communication skills with both children and adults - is enthusiastic, patient, and flexible - enjoys both facilitating and participating in activities alongside the children - has current First Aid (or willingness to acquire) - has a clean criminal record check The successful candidate is ideally available Monday - Friday from 7:30 - 8:30 and 3:00 - 5:00 (please do not hesitate to apply if you are available for only one of these shifts).
