Scope of the Position:

The Quotations and Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for managing the quotation process, responding to customer inquiries, and supporting the sales team. They collaborate closely with vendors, read electrical drawings, and contribute to the overall success of the sales department.
 

Major Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and process quotation requests promptly.
  • Communicate with vendors to obtain pricing for various products.
  • Participate in MRO quotations and conduct market research.
  • Read and interpret single-line electrical drawings and layout schematics.
  • Design electrical distribution and motor control systems up to 5KV.
  • Create lighting layouts manually and using relevant software.
  • Understand the interaction of PLCs, VFDs, and communication protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records for each quoted project and update the project calendar; fill in order sheets clearly for project administrators.
  • Respond to customer inquiries promptly, provide information related to quoted products or projects, prepare bids for projects, and manage company contracts; contact current customers to identify new products and upsell opportunities; process incoming calls and orders efficiently, and open new customer accounts; participate in customer and supplier meetings as required.
  • Develop the customer base by making cold and warm calls; enter orders into the system accurately.

Education & Training:

  • High School Diploma (required)
  • Post-Secondary courses in Sales and/or Marketing (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (required)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Product knowledge or industry experience is preferred.
