Are you a graphic designer with a passion for the ideation and production of high-quality digital and print content? Are you looking to gain experience in a marketing agency setting? Reporting to our Creative Director, LRO Solutions is searching for an experienced Graphic Designer to join our team. This opportunity is a part-time position, with potential to turn into a full-time role. Expected weekly hours to start are 15-20 hours.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Conceptualize, develop and produce graphics, layouts, and other materials used in the advertising, social media, branding, and marketing of our company and its clients
- Participate in the development and maintenance of brand identities, including logos, color palettes, typography, and brand guidelines
- Design digital graphics for websites, social media platforms, email campaigns, and other digital channels, ensuring responsiveness and compatibility
- Work as part of the LRO Solutions team and cross functionally with internal stakeholders to support marketing initiatives including to develop and implement new ideas for graphics, marketing collateral and website design
- Maintain organized files and folders for design assets, ensuring easy access and retrieval for future reference and reuse
- Collaborate with other members of the internal marketing team to maximize creativity, manage capacity and deadlines
- Must be able to work under deadline pressure and manage multiple projects and assignments
About You
You’re a talented and detail-oriented graphic designer with a self-motivated mindset. You’re willing to learn new skills and apply them to your regular duties. You love taking on every task that is thrown at you, and you love bringing your ideas to life to create unique and innovative designs for the web, social media and print. You stay on top of the latest trends and technologies and always love a good challenge. The successful candidate will have the following:
- Some form of formal education in graphic design, related field or equivalent
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience in both print and digital design
- High proficiency with latest versions of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premier Pro
- Working Knowledge of modern HTML/CSS
- Creativity and excellent visual design skills
- A demonstrated portfolio of previous work
- A willingness to expand and increase your knowledge base and skill set to help achieve desired outcomes for our clients
- Previous design or marketing agency experience is a bonus
- Proven experience and proficiency in designing and building websites using Content Management Systems such as WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace, and others.
- The ability to take initiative and demonstrate a passion for graphic design
- Preference for candidates with experience in video editing, production in a modern video editing suite such as Adobe Premiere or others
About the Job
This is a part-time position working directly for LRO Solutions with the possibility of turning into a full-time role. Preference for a candidate who resides in the general Ottawa region and is open to a mostly remote work model with occasional requirement to come into the office for meetings, or on-site work. The role offers $30-35 per hour, amazing employee retention and career development.
